this week and next i will be working all 7 days. its good for my overtime pay, however the morning shift has been a little painful even though ive been going to sleep earlier. i mainly mess around on my iPhone a good portion of the day. last night i went to see cory’s band Last Days of Empire at the Asbury Lanes before they went on their week long tour down to VA and back. they were pretty good live and have a great dynamic together. i took some photos at the show as well.

Larissa got back from her trip to VA last sunday. ive been working so much so i havent had a chance to see her. i kind of blew off the first few calls she made to me since im still annoyed with all the hang ups she has about our situation.

So I was browsing some websites. Doing the usual and I came across Lulu.com, its a great website where you can get your own books printed up for a very low cost. For a small fee they even get you an ISBN and add you to their webstore to make cash off of your work. I have been thinking up art book ideas for quite a few years now. One of the main set backs was I didnt want to front the money for thousands of copies, only not to be able to sell them and loose all that money. With Lulu I can get my own copy printed and use that to sell the other people copies and never worry about buying too many. I can even set my own price for them and make a percentage off of the web sales. So far I have 2 books in the works. One being a collection of my digital artwork and photography and another book of just my band photography. Hopefully which a month or two I will have most of the work done and I can start setting the books to people.

Having a day off is nice. I slept in then worked on my art book some more. It was raining on and off all day, but I said fuck it and brought Missy to the dog park anyway. She played with the other dogs for a bit then we drove over to the school to pick up Larissa for awhile before she had to goto Roller Derby pratice. A few minutes after we got back to the park it started pouring rain so Larissa, Missy and I sat in the car until it stopped. Another guy with pitbulls came just as the rain stopped so Missy wanted to go back out and play. We went back in and Missy did her thing for awhile. Then I drove Larissa back to school where her car was so she could goto her pratice.

worked like usual. however, after work everyone was going over to Drew’s friends house to have a party for his birthday. So after the store was closed to all followed each other in a long Guitar Center convoy. It was good times, mostly a sausage party while everyone chilled and talked.

After a few hours I left to meet up with Larissa. She was at the Court Tavern where her friends band was playing. I didnt know what kind of bands were playing so as I walked in I knew I was out of my element. I was still wearing all my work clothes and stuck out like a sore thumb. All the bands playing for punk/ska. All in all it wasnt anything horrible, but also nothing I would listen to on my own. Larissa was dressed in a black and white striped shirt and skirt. Looking totally cute as always.

The show ended and we were both hungry. So we went to the Seville Diner down the road. It was on the way home for both of us so it was a good place to go. The foods good there and we got to talk for awhile. She was so tired that I felt bad letting her drive home. I asked her to stay on my couch a few times but she said no so there was nothing I could do to change her mind.

I walked Larissa to her car and tried kissing her again. This time I kind of got an excuse of why she
doesnt want to kiss me. Since I used to goto the school that she now teaches at she thinks its a bit weird. I graduated in 1999 and I believe she started teaches sometime around 2004. So there is a definite gap between when we were at the school. The next chance I have to talk with her I am going to find out if she wants to try and get over this. I would like to see where this relationship has the possibility to go. But without getting over this stump there is no way to go any further.

Only got one song finished up today. Derek’s dog was going all sorts of crazy and trying to play with us. We did some other recording which will eventually get used for something.

Did some recording with Derek tonight. we got 2 songs done and part of the 3rd layed out. He’s doing an album with all the lyrics being stuff from the Zodiac Killer letters. So far its going pretty good. We will see how long it takes for everything to get done.

I did my Easter thing with the family for awhile. Got some good food then brought my cousins boyfriend to see my dog. I love showing off my puppy! Larissa called and invited me over to bake cookies. Cute girl and cookies? HELL YEAH! So we went to the store first and picked up some of the ingredients that she was missing and some other random things as well.

Making the cookies was fun. Good thing I didnt mess anything up too! They were a chocolate/oatmeal/walnut cookie with some other stuff in there too. After that we hung out and talked. All in all it was a good time.

Only problem is that now I know her stand on kissing and I never know when is the right time. I guess I’ll figure it out eventually!

Went to see my bosses band play at the Englishtown Legion. The first few bands were interesting to say the least. Mostly generic metal riffs with “chugga chugga” breakdowns. TJ’s band is nothing like the other bands that were playing. There very much like Nerosis and Botch. I liked it but all the high school kids (90% of the crowd) didnt get it.

After that I went to see Larissa at the Court Tavern in East Brunswick. Her roller derby team was having a fund raiser for themselves. She was running around like a crazy person the whole night since she was in charge of everything going on at the fund raiser. The band (Deep Release) that was pick was kind of shitty but entertaining. They would help the people out doing karaoke if they needed it. Larissa sang “Dead or Alive” by Bon Jovi! It was pretty good if I do say so even though she was really nervous.

After everything died down I drove her to her car and she told me how all of her derby friends thought I was cute. That was nice of them to say, I hope I can click more with Larissa so we can see where things go. I tried being cute and asking if I could trade my losing raffle tickets in for a date with her sometime but I think that offended her in some way. She might be thinking I just want to get in her pants which is totally not the case. I do want to kiss her though. Hopefully we are going to hang out sometime this weekend which would be awesome.

It all started 2 weeks ago. A very attractive girl came into my job to see if our store would want to sponsor their roller derby league. We (Guitar Center) couldnt do that since we are a part of a chain and would have to let the corporate people decide that. We (Vinny and I) stalled them for awhile so we could chat with them a bit more, during this I found out one of them (named Larissa) now works at my old high school. I think its cool, not only would we have things to talk about but she works close to my house. At that point i was still a little nervous to ask for her phone number, so I took out pictures of my puppy to show her (who could resist a beautiful puppy!) upon seeing those she livened up so I asked for her number which she gave me! I was super psyched about that.

A few days past and I was on my way home from work so I called Larissa up, she still happened to be at work/school so I picked Missy up and brought her to the dog park which is right next to my old high school (convenient? YES!). I let Missy play with the other dogs that were there while we talked and got to know each other some more before she had to goto roller derby pratice. That went well and she had a great personality and smile so I knew in a few days once I got the courage i’d call her to go out.

It was a few more days later, Dan’s band was having a show that weekend in the town right next to where Larissa lives so I took advantage and she wanted to go. Picked her up at her house where my passenger door decided to be stupid and not work (which I fixed later in the night). The show was good, the bands before and after Dan’s band were not that great, I could have lived without seeing them. all in all part 1 of the night was good.

We left there and headed over to Asbury Lanes where some of Larissa’s friends were hanging out. I met them and they were cool had some good laughs but was a bit shy since I didn’t really know them. while we were at the bowling alley Larissa asked if we were on a date which I answered yes since that is what i thought it was. It seems that one of her friends that i was talking to figured out that I thought it was a date and told her for whatever reason. It was fine that Larissa didn’t think this was one since she had her reasons why. One of them being that dates end in a kiss and/or make-out session and that doesn’t happen unless there is a mental connection first. This was our first time hanging out for more then an hour so I didn’t expect anything to happen anyway and if it did then I doubt we could have any chance of a relationship beyond they physical aspect. She is awesome so far so I enjoy hanging out and doing fun stuff, I just wish it was summer out so we could do more things outside. Part 2 of the night complete.

Now onto my favorite part of the night (part 3 and the final part of course). We go back to her place and hang out on the couch talking. Some of her friends are sending her text messages her so I keep calling her rude to mess with her. We look through the camera at the pictures I took tonight of Dan’s band, most of them came out pretty good except for a few that I deleted. Larissa takes out her camera and she tells me stories about all the pictures on it. I enjoy hearing stories like that since i’m not only getting to know her but i’m get to find out stuff she enjoys and I see that she is family oriented as well. 2 hours pasted since we go back to her place but to me it seemed like 30 minutes. The time just flew by so at the end of the night I gave her a hug and kissed her on the cheek and said goodnight. I enjoyed my date even though she didn’t consider it one if we do start dating I will use this date as the anniversary date! March 17th 2008 (03/17/2008)

I got home at 4:30am and passed the hell out so I could wake up at 10am for work!
